Remembering Maggie

Maggie Buxton

Maggie came into my life about 16 years ago. She was found hungry and wandering in Shenandoah National Park, and brought to the C’ville SPCA, where I found her. She was so sweet and beautiful, and it was wonderful to have a new cat in my life. Maggie fit right into my lifestyle. I live alone in a house with lots of beds which Maggie made her own. Returning from a late rehearsal, a long trip, or from errands, I was greeted with a trill and meow. Maggie was talkative, a true conversationalist. She was a constant source of comfort and support. I miss Maggie deeply. Her way of being in the world was one of independence, acceptance, and grace, up to the very end. May I do as well.
